Hart, William S.
(6 dic. 1870, Newburgh, N.Y., EE.UU.–23 jun. 1946, Newhall, Cal.).

Actor de cine y teatro estadounidense. Debutó en el teatro en 1889, y después interpretó una serie de héroes de western en las obras El mestizo (1905), The Virginian (1907) y The Trail of the Lonesome Pine (1912). En 1914 se trasladó a Hollywood, donde sus sombrías y recias interpretaciones lo convirtieron en estrella y en el primer héroe del cine western. Entre sus numerosas películas, muchas de las cuales escribió y dirigió, están The Passing of Two-Gun Hicks (1914–15), The Square-Deal Man (1917), Wild Bill Hickok (1923) y A Lighter of Flames (1923).
